Now in beta · Windows 10 / 11
Every voice, understood.
Vocara turns in-game voice chat into live translated subtitles. It listens to your game audio and overlays captions in your language — so you always understand your squad.
Valorant support first — more games coming.
How it works
From teammate callout to readable subtitle in about a second.
Capture
Vocara picks up your game's audio through official Windows audio APIs — the same ones screen recorders use. No game files are touched.
Translate
Speech is transcribed and translated in real time. Captions appear instantly as your teammates speak, then refine as each sentence completes.
Overlay
Subtitles show in a lightweight always-on-top window that you can place anywhere, on any monitor — position, size, and opacity are all yours.
Built for fair play
Vocara is designed to operate entirely outside the game. Here's exactly what that means.
- The overlay is a regular external window — nothing is drawn inside the game.
- No code injection and no reading of game memory. Ever.
- No screen capture or image analysis of your game.
- Audio comes only from documented Windows audio APIs.
- Vocara never modifies game files or settings.
- No input automation — Vocara only listens and displays text.
We can't speak for how every anti-cheat vendor behaves — no third-party tool honestly can. What we can tell you is exactly what Vocara does, and everything it does stays outside your game.
Features
Everything you need to follow the conversation, nothing that gets in the way.
Instant, then refined
Captions appear the moment someone speaks, then update with a polished translation once the sentence completes. You're never waiting to react.
8 languages, both ways
Translate voice chat from English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Portuguese, or Russian — plus a multilingual mode — into the language you read best.
Tuned for game audio
Optional noise cleanup separates voices from gunfire, footsteps, and music, so captions stay accurate in the middle of a fight.
Auto start & stop
Vocara detects when your game launches and starts captioning automatically from the system tray. When you quit, it stops.
Local transcript history
Review what was said after the match. Transcripts are stored only on your device, and you can delete them anytime.
Your overlay, your layout
Anchor subtitles to any corner of any display, adjust size and opacity, and see a live preview while you tweak.

Frequently asked questions
Will this get me banned?
Vocara is built to stay entirely outside your game: the overlay is a normal external window, and audio comes only from documented Windows audio APIs. There is no injection, no memory reading, no screen capture, and no input automation. No third-party tool can make guarantees on behalf of anti-cheat vendors, but everything Vocara does is the same class of activity as running a screen recorder or Discord overlay-free voice chat.
Which games are supported?
Valorant is our first supported game. Vocara captures per-application audio, so more games are on the way — tell us which one you want next at support@vocara.im.
Which languages can it translate?
Vocara understands speech in English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Portuguese, and Russian (plus a multilingual mode for mixed-language lobbies), and can display subtitles in any of those languages, including Simplified and Traditional Chinese.
Do you record or store my audio?
No. Game audio is streamed for transcription and translation while your session is active and is not permanently stored on our servers. Transcript history is saved only on your own device, and you can delete it anytime. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.
What do I need to run Vocara?
A Windows 10 or Windows 11 PC and an internet connection. Vocara runs quietly in the system tray and is designed to have minimal impact on game performance.
